Welcome to Model Elementary School
Welcome to Model School – a school of diversity celebrating the uniqueness of each child.
Our staff is dedicated to developing classrooms consisting of creative, connected activities that enhance learning and develop appreciation of the diversity within our population.
We work together to provide a safe, caring environment. Classroom teachers, specialty staff, and support staff model the behavior and attitude of courtesy and responsibility. We celebrate and recognize students who demonstrate these qualities. At the same time, Model staff holds high academic expectations for students. Students are encouraged to complete assignments that always demonstrate their personal best.
Teachers reinforce our students’ responsibility in completing work on a timely basis. After school homework assistance is provided for grades 4-5. Feedback is immediate so children can make corrections in their concept and skill acquisition.

If we have an early unplanned dismissal, make sure your child knows where they are to go.
Remember:
- Boys and Girls Club and Kids Care close when schools close early. Have an alternative plan and make sure your child knows the alternative place.
- When we have extremely cold temperatures, remind your child to go directly to their child care.
